What is a Legal Consultation?
A legal consultation is an initial meeting with the attorney that takes place before you make the decision on whether to hire the attorney to represent you in your particular legal matter. On the other hand, the attorney will also use the consultation in order to determine if they can legally and ocmpetetly represent you based on the information you provided them.
It is important to note that an initial legal consultation does not mean the attorney is officially representing you or has taken on your case. Generally, in order for an attorney to legally represent you, there must be a written representation agreement signed signed by both you and the attorney.
Will My Legal Consultation Be Confidential?
A legal consultations is always confidential. This means that what you discuss with an attorney will not be discussed outside the meeting. Although an initial consultation does not form an attorney-client relationship, as that is not formed until there is a signed representation agreement, everything you communicate with an attorney during a consultation will remain privileged and confidential, as if an attorney-client privilege had formed. Therefore, you should provide the attorney with all of the information you have, whether helpful or harmful, so that they may properly evaluate your case.
Legal Consultation - 3 Step Approach
Step 1 - An initial questionnaire and interview by telephone conducted by an assistant or paralegal.
Step 2 - Before the consultation we will have the client gather any and all documents that are relevant to client's case.
Step 3 - During your consultation Ms. Contero will answer your legal questions, Whether you have a phone, online, or in-person legal consultation, we will assist you by reviewing documents, and giving you matter-specific guidance on your legal matter.
During your consultation you will meet with Ms. Contero who will ask you to give a detailed description of what you need help with. We will then ask you a series of targeted questions in order to define your situation and determine the nature of your legal issue, see the difficulties involved, find out what goals you have in mind, see what your legal options are, what your prospects of success are, and what the amount of work that will be required to achieve your goals will be. From there we will customize a strategy to achieve your goals.

We accept major credit cards, cash, and checks, but we also work to meet the financial needs of the client by providing payment plans to make our services more affordable.
We serve clients throughout the United States in Immigration cases. For other types of cases we ONLY serve clients in Southern California.
